How do engagements usually start?

With a conversation about the problem rather than the deliverable. We would rather spend an hour understanding what is actually going wrong than receive a specification for a solution. Most engagements then begin with a short, scoped discovery or audit phase, which is a genuine decision point for both sides.

What size of company do you work with?

Companies where design decisions have commercial consequences: funded startups past product market fit, scale-ups, and established businesses with an existing product and a real user base. We also run a fixed-price starter package for early stage companies. The common factor is a problem worth diagnosing, not a headcount.

Do you work with in-house teams or replace them?

Alongside them, almost always. Our best engagements pair with an internal team on the work they cannot protect time for: structural redesign, research that might invalidate a roadmap, or building a design system properly. We aim to leave capability behind rather than a dependency.

Three ways. A fixed-price starter package for early stage companies, fixed-scope projects quoted per engagement, and hourly work with a monthly cap where the shape of the work will change as we learn. We will tell you which one fits after the first conversation.
